Rauma Ski Centre – family-friendly skiing in Skorgedalen

If you want a family-friendly alternative, nothing beats Rauma Ski Centre in Skorgedalen! Here you experience Norwegian community spirit at its best, and the facility is only 15 minutes by car from Åndalsnes and offers three slopes with a full 300 metres of elevation and 1,100 metres in length. There are groomed trails, a sledding hill for the little ones, and a grooming machine that prepares touring trails into the valley. With a warming hut, shelters and fantastic mountain panoramas all around, this is a perfect family experience. Open Saturdays and Sundays from 10 to 3!

Bjorli Ski Centre – Norway's most snow-sure ski resort

If you want a ski experience guaranteed with snow, Bjorli Ski Centre is the choice for you! This fantastic resort is located at the top of Romsdalen, only 30 minutes by car from Åndalsnes, and is considered one of the country's most snow-sure ski resorts. The ski lifts take you all the way up to 1,225 metres above sea level, and with its 575-metre high base station, conditions are always fantastic. Bjorli is a well-equipped family resort with ski school, ski rental, food and drink – and you can even get here by train on the famous Rauma Railway! Furulia Amfi – skating and hockey rink in Isfjorden

Looking for a fun winter activity for the whole family that won't cost you a penny? Furulia Amfi in Isfjorden is an artificially frozen skating and hockey rink measuring 56 x 26 metres operated by Isfjorden Sports Club. The rink is open for about five months from November to March, and access for self-organised activities is completely free! There are skates, helmets, sticks and goalkeeper equipment available for loan, and right next to the rink there are heated common rooms and cabins where you can change. Skating and hockey school for children is also organised. A perfect place for a relaxed and fun winter day out on the ice!
