Åndalsnes Løpet

Every year in May, running enthusiasts from near and far gather for the traditional Åndalsnes Løpet. This popular 5-kilometer recreational race takes you through beautiful nature along the Rauma River, with start and finish at Øran Stadium. With children's races for the youngest and the main race for all ages, this is a perfect opportunity to be part of a real running festival in the shadow of the mountains.

Trollveggen Triathlon

For those seeking the ultimate challenge, the Trollveggen Triathlon is an event you won't soon forget. With swimming in the Romsdal Fjord, cycling to the foot of the mighty Trollveggen, and running up to Høgaksla at 990 meters above sea level, this becomes an experience that truly tests your limits. The event takes place at the end of June and attracts participants from across the country.

Norwegian Mountain Festival

The end of June and beginning of July belong to the Norwegian Mountain Festival – Norway's largest event for mountain and outdoor recreation! Here you can experience everything from guided mountain tours and climbing to cultural events and activities for the whole family. With Camp Romsdal for children and a diverse program for all ages, this is the week when Åndalsnes truly comes alive.

BAMA Cup

Football families, this one's for you! The BAMA Cup is held at Øran Stadium in mid-June and is a fantastic football tournament for children and youth aged 6 to 13. With matches, a kiosk, and great atmosphere, this is a wonderful day for the whole family – perfect for those combining their camping holiday with some sports and fun.

Rauma Ultra Backyard

Have you heard of the backyard ultra concept? At Rauma Ultra Backyard in October, you run a 6.7-kilometer loop – again and again! Every hour a new lap starts, and you can keep going for up to 12 hours if you can manage it. This is running for those who love challenges and who enjoy testing how far their body can take them.

Romsdalsmartnan

In September, it's time for Romsdalsmartnan – a traditional market weekend with carnival rides, exhibitors, face painting for the children, and lots of atmosphere. With free admission and many exciting stalls both indoors and outdoors, this is a perfect opportunity to experience local culture and find unique products from the region.
