Kompani Lauritzen – experience the TV success up close

Have you been following the popular TV series Kompani Lauritzen? The first six seasons of the series were filmed right here in Åndalsnes, and now you have the chance to experience some of the same challenges yourself! Visit the Kompani Lauritzen bust in the center of Åndalsnes – a bronze bust of Colonel Dag Otto Lauritzen that was unveiled in 2022. The bust has become a local attraction and is a fun photo stop for fans of the series!

And it doesn't stop there – if you want to follow in the participants' footsteps, you can follow in Kompani Lauritzen's footsteps on trips to Rampestreken, Via Ferrata, and SUP paddling on Istra. The Norwegian Mountaineering Centre also offers customized experiences where you can try obstacle courses, marches with backpacks, and other military-inspired challenges. A unique way to experience Romsdalen!

Atlantic Sea Park – one of the world's best aquariums

An hour's drive from Åndalsnes lies the Atlantic Sea Park in Ålesund – an aquarium that has been voted one of the world's ten best by Forbes Magazine! This is a fantastic year-round activity that's perfect for families, regardless of the weather. Here you can experience life in the ocean along the Norwegian coast up close, with everything from seal feeding and penguins to massive Atlantic tanks with impressive views. Moldebadet – water park and wellness for the whole family

Need a break from the mountains or looking for a fun activity on a rainy day? Moldebadet in Molde, about 45 minutes from Åndalsnes, is a popular water park with something for everyone. Here you'll find exciting water slides, diving boards, hot tubs, children's pools, and sports pools – perfect for both the active and those who just want to relax. With year-round opening hours and good facilities like a café and sauna, this is an activity that works just as well on winter days as on summer excursions. A welcome break for both young and old!
