Experience Norwegian Alpine Centre with Norway's highest indoor climbing hall! See lots of interesting photos and artifacts from the Norwegian climbing history of the sport with first ascents and more! The Centre includes Spiret spiseri (restaurant), Mountain Library, Museum shop and a very exciting cinema experience with Troll film, three-dimensional and interactive  movies as well as fresh peak sport shooting with short historical flashbacks! Norwegian Mountain Festival

The largest and most important single event in Norway for people who appreciate the mountains and outdoor activities.
Norwegian Mountain Festival in Romsdalen is 9th - 16th July 2017 held for the 19th time. The festival has today a serious and recognized position in the Norwegian outdoor environment. It has evolved to become the largest and most important single event in Norway for people who appreciate the mountains and outdoor activities. This year's mountain goat being handed out in collaboration with the DNT at the association's general secretary or chairman. It has now gone to Vegard Ulvang, Brende, Dahle, Cecilie Skog, Queen Sonja, Arne Naess, Olaf Thon, Stein P. Aasheim, Free Flow, gudmund skjeldal, Liv Arnesen, Cato Zahl Pedersen, Nils Faarlund, Odd Eliassen , Wilderness Children and Fred Husøy.

Norwegian Mountain Festival wants to build on the same values as the basis for Rauma Municipality's vision, world best municipality for nature lovers.

 

To this point it takes about 1,5 hour to hike from the camping. The viewpoint is called Rampestreken and is a an airy experience!  The camping is located next to the bridge you see in the background on the photo.

Rauma River runs next to the camping. The Mountain to the left is the famous Romsdalshorn (1550 meters above sea level). The mountain in the middle is the backside of the Famous Trollwall and the mountains to the right is the The king, the queen and the bishop.
